Alan Flyer is a Long Island native who grew up in nearby Port Washington. He attended Cornell University, receiving a B.A. in Government. After spending four years on Capitol Hill as a technology consultant for the United States Senate in Washington DC, he received his M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a father of two, Alan has been involved with the Roslyn School District for over a decade, and is currently the chair of Roslyn’s Adult Education Advisory Board. He is excited by the task of “making math make sense” to kids using the Mathnasium method of instruction. Alan and his team of instructors have been helping kids of all ages succeed in math since 2011 at the first Mathnasium Learning Center in Nassau County -- and a perennial Top Performing Center in the Mathnasium organization. He is a resident of East Hills, along with his wife Karen, who is the co-owner and Center Director at Mathnasium of Great Neck.
